I am a self-taught painter and portrait artist who blends old master techniques with a modern sensibility. Born in 1980, I Industrial Design at the Royal College of Art, London, and worked as a designer, illustrator, and gallery curator before dedicating herself to painting.

Working mainly in oils, with drawing as a key part of my practice, My work is influenced by classical traditions but often carries a playful, subversive edge. “I am interested in the place where Old and New worlds collide—and the ‘fuzzy edge’ between the Real and the Imagined,” My paintings emerge from moments I find touching, funny or curious, held in mind until they take shape on canvas.

I exhibit in the UK and Australia, and I am represented by Grainger Gallery (Canberra) and Glasshouse Contemporary (London). I work from my studio in Portsmouth’s historic Hot Walls and teache at Paint and Draw Atelier with artist Katie Munro.
