Compton Festival

For this project, City Arts was commissioned to deliver engaging art activities for festival attendees, with a focus on collaborative group work. This included the creation of a portable mural inspired by the Compton Festival, designed to tour local churches and strengthen community connections. We also facilitated the making of lanterns, puppets, and a "Big Draw" mural, all centred around the festival's themes. Additionally, we (well Gavin Mainly) produced 47 festival signs, all made from old floorboards or recycled materials. In keeping with the festival’s ethos of sustainability, all artworks were created to be reusable and adaptable, ensuring they can be enhanced and built upon as the festival continues to grow in future years.
