Funded By
NIHR WESSEX CRN
Six practical art workshops, culminating in an exhibition for NHS nurses.
A collaborative initiative involving The John Pounds Centre, QA Hospital Research Department, and financially supported by NIHR Clinical Research Network, Wessex.
The primary objective of this initiative was to provide local nurses with an opportunity to come together, engage in creative pursuits, acquire new skills, and embrace moments of respite during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic.
While these nurses were acquainted professionally, the project served as a platform for them to share their creative abilities whilst getting to know each other on a more personal level.
Participants took part in various drawing and creative activities, giving them the time to explore and enjoy the artistic process. The friendships made during these workshops endure, as evidenced by the shared work and ongoing support facilitated through a jointly established WhatsApp group.
