I’m a visual artist based in Portsmouth, working primarily in bold, abstract painting. My work is shaped by rhythm, energy, and the emotional charge behind colour and form. I approach painting like composition—balancing movement, weight, silence, and noise across the surface.
My background as a singer-songwriter continues to inform how I make visual work. I think in layers and tone, building images much like constructing a piece of music—each mark holding rhythm, tension, and release. What sound once held now finds its voice through shape, gesture, and colour.
I use acrylic, spray paint, and mixed media to explore internal landscapes—emotional states expressed through intuitive abstraction. Each piece invites the viewer to sense rather than decode. For me, painting is another way of listening.
POSE is an opportunity to share that practice more widely and invite others into the ongoing conversation between music, mark-making, and meaning.
