I work in various mediums but recently I have been drawn to revisiting some old drawings of mine I had found in an old port-folio in my attic. The subject matter ranges from crushed coke cans to drawings of skulls to imaginative configurations.
I find the use of colour combinations aided by the drawing 'positives' used in screen printing adds a touch of alchemy to the process. When starting out on a print I have a rough idea of how I want the finished work to look, but as I progress through the printing process I alter colour combinations as I go, therefore no print run is truly identical. Each print run is a work in progress.
