I am exploring trauma and identity through analogue and digital photography. My work draws on inherited narratives and personal experiences that shape our understanding of self, home, and belonging — FittingInStandingOut. My practice is rooted in the tactile: large-format and film photography allow me to work with light, time, and memory in a process-led way. I am particularly interested in intergenerational trauma and the invisible legacies that pass silently through generations, shaping the ways we connect — or disconnect—across time and place. This is not only about inherited histories, but also about chosen connections — inviting others to grow your close circle. Grounding ourselves, finding where we stand, and how we relate to the world around us becomes central. I’m drawn to the spaces in between: seen and unseen, fragile and resilient. My work invites pause and reflection on what it means to belong — and how that meaning shifts: Shifting perception.
