This year has been about walking the dog and suddenly coming across abandoned shopping trolleys in the city. I have found it really interesting in how they form a new piece of public art that appears and disappears quickly but somehow are silent and still. Now, I don’t know why I am following this obsession this year but I must confess I love it. Art wise is I like the way the light catches the metal, how the urban and rural can make brilliant backgrounds, the composition they form but it’s the questions too. Why are they there? Who decided to stop? Where do they go after? So this is just the beginning in recording these beautiful trolleys and we will just see where they end up parked.
