I began painting portraits during lockdown and haven't stopped since. I usually take my own reference photos, heading to places that inspire me - often by the coast or in nature. I work mainly in oils and enjoy painting people, landscapes and still life. Water is a recurring theme in my work, especially the way it moves and reflects light. I'm drawn to quiet moments and natural beauty, whether it's a still lake, a beach scene or a thoughtful portrait. I've been commissioned to create both portraits and landscapes, and enjoy working with people to create something personal and meaningful. I paint for the love of it, but it's also important to me that work connects with others. Each piece is a chance to capture a moment, mood or memory - something worth holding on to.
