I’m Kim – maker, magpie and joyful junk-rescuer behind Seaweed Studio K+M. I collect, design and create each piece, while my husband Martin is the brains and steady hands that bring them together. We work from our cabin by the water in Gosport, surrounded by birdsong, sea-sparkle and ships. I’m passionate about giving new life to the “treasures” others leave behind. With a sharp eye for shape, story and soul, I transform salvaged wood, rusty finds and beachcombed bits into quirky, characterful pieces that make people smile or think. From unique gifts to eye-catching garden pieces, there’s something for every space. I never cut or paint the wood — it already knows what it wants to be. Whether it’s a cheeky bird or a curious creature, each is a one-off, born from the tide, the street, or a tip-run diversion. I believe in laughter over landfill and finding the joy in junk.
