I'm Mister. Samo – a trans street artist and activist based in Portsmouth. With work
rooted in visibility, community, and love. Using bold colour, iconic figures, and I use simple but
powerful phrases to reclaim public space and offer moments of connection, reflection,
and affirmation. Whether painting a mural, or sharing words on a
wall, the message is always clear: you exist, you matter, you are loved.
Since 2013, I’ve been painting across the UK and internationally – from LOOK UP
Portsmouth to World Pride in New York. I’ve launched projects like ‘I EXIST’, a global
trans-body storytelling initiative, and collaborated with campaigns including FatFace’s
Pride collection.
My work often begins with lived experience but aims to speak to everyone. I believe art
can transform streets into safe, expressive spaces – and I’ll keep painting until every wall
knows our worth.
